A ceremony that honours your loved one can be an essential part of your own grieving process and help in the circle of healing that you may need.
The story of your loved one is incredibly important. The job of the celebrant is to help you unlock and tell that unique and personal story.
Whether you call your ceremony a funeral, a celebration of life, or a memorial service, my hope is that together we can honour the one that is gone.
This is what I can offer you:
- An initial meeting to discuss a basic outline and ideas you would like. This meeting is also to see if I am a good fit for your needs.
- When ready, we can meet again in your home or another familiar space with as many people as you would like, so I can listen to your stories.
- We can talk about other ceremony elements you may want to include, such as music, poetry, readings, and meaningful symbols.
- We will go over the details of location and timing.
- I will gather your stories and ideas in order to handcraft a unique, one-of-a-kind celebration to honour your loved one.
- If time permits, you are welcome to read and review the draft and input any other ideas.
- I will arrive before the service to offer support to the family as needed, and to make sure anyone that is involved knows their cues during the ceremony.
- I will then lead the ceremony in a way that is both thoughtful and honouring.
